Villa St-Joseph

The site is an existing two-storey historic building in the heart of Montréal that has experienced numerous transformations over the years from housing to office, and back to housing. The client has asked OFA to renovate the existing 1st floor, converting open spaces into new residential uses. The character of the building will be preserved, while new design will be appropriated inserted to create a dynamic contrast with the historic. A new kitchen, dining room and reading area will be created, as well as new links into the connecting rooms. Construction begins August 2009.
